DEVA Vegan Omega-3 DHA is a quality product derived from algae and packaged in non-animal softgels made from carrageenan and starch. This makes an excellent alternative to fish oil and can be confidently used by vegetarians and vegans alike. Vegans are particularly prone to diets low in omega-3 fatty acids. DHA is a long chain polyunsaturated omega-3 oil. It is an essential fatty acid, meaning that the body doesn't produce it by itself and it must be obtained in the diet. It is known to be a major building block of human brain tissue and eye tissue, and studies have shown it may help cognition in Alzheimer's disease.1 In fact, the human brain consists of about sixty percent fat and essential fatty acids like DHA are vital to its structure and function. DHA has been found to be crucial to fetal brain development, as well as the brain development of infants and children. It is also known to affect the heart and enhance stroke volume and cardiac output during exercise.2 This is just o

How can i get psychiatric help as a minor, without parents?

Best answer:
I don't know if this would help but it is an Idea. Churches usually have connections if you can go and talk with a pastor. It might throw your parents off if you want to go to church all of the sudden BUT, it may be a way for you to get help. Clergy have a pledge of confidentiality and most often in their own membership roles have licensed Psychiatrists.Ask you grandmother.Ok, sounds to me like you think you have all these mental and physical health problems.... but you don't know any specifics, your parents won't get you any help, you were 5150'd and released, your therapist won't see you again. Did anyone mention that perhaps you just WANT to be sick, that you actually are not?

This sounds like hypochondria to me, wanting/needing to be sick for the sake of being sick. You do need to see someone. Whether you are really severely in crisis, or just wanting desperately to be so.

At 16, the only way you can get help on your own is to start with someone like your school counselor. Go tomorrow and say what you've said here. If they won't listen to you, call 911. You may end up being 5150'd again, but I'm quite sure someone will realize that you do need some help.Hi. Please look up this link below for contact details of someone you can either phone or email for support and direction. I feel they would be the right people to give you the guidance you need.

Hang in there, you need to continue to look for someone who is supportive, understands and listens and is respectful of your needs.

You WILL get through this. Keep persisting and be strong as you can be. Don't suffer in silence.

Shaklee Following The Law Of Nature

Article by Herold Souter

Shaklee Corporation, named after its founder Dr. Forrest C. Shaklee, a natural curious scientist, made and sold "Shaklee's Vitalized Minerals" way back in 1915 when the idea of vitamins was a little vague.

After becoming a popular motivational speaker (personal appearances, radio broadcasts, and four books) on the philosophy on "thoughtsmanship", Shaklee founded the Corporation with his two sons.

Their merchandise: Shaklee's very own personally-made products. The first ones were "natural" and "environmentally-friendly" cleaning products. These ideas were not yet in vogue in his time.

Drawing on their individual talents, Forrest Jr. handled the accounting and managed the day-to-day operations of the company, while Raleigh took charge of marketing operations. The elder Shaklee directed research and development.

At the end of the decade, they had grown quite big in California. Shaklee continued to introduce new products, branching out from dietary supplements to skin care and others.

Basic-H, an organic soap-free cleaning solution made its debut when Dr. Shaklee experimented with ways to help the wife of a distributor with sensitive skin. Soon, they had a line of skin care products made from natural ingredients.

In 1970, the company grew by leaps and bounds. Annual sales went from million to more than 0 million at the end of the seventies.

In 1989, Yamanouchi Pharmaceuticals acquired Shaklee to prevent a hostile group from acquiring the company. In 2004, it was acquired, in turn by Activated Holdings LLC.

Business model

Dr. Shaklee thought that rather than hire permanent sales people, it was better to recruit independent contractors by offering them lucrative incentives. These rewards would be proportional to their sales. It would follow then that they would try to generate more sales to get bigger payouts.

It was criticized before as "unstructured" and needing a highly self-motivated individual to make through. It was actually in keeping with Dr. Shaklee's philosophy and belief in self-motivation and the person's own persuasive powers.

Today, Shaklee products are developed in-house, and are sold through a multi-level marketing system in the US and all over the world by some of the industry's fiercely loyal independent contractors.

These days, Shaklee distributors have their own web sites for customers to buy any Shaklee product online. Also, Shaklee acquired a subsidiary, Bear Creek Corporation (known for the luxury fruit baskets and confections sold via its Harry and David catalogue) and began selling their products there.

The future

Dr. Shaklee's philosophy still rings true with his fiercely loyal distributors: "Follow the laws of Nature and you'll never go wrong."

The good doctor had developed innovative products, some with concepts way ahead of its time, and made his company an industry leader for over 40 years. The concepts are still good for the next 40 years or so.
