How accurate is a Microlife peak flow meter in measuring FEV1?

There is a difference. A peak flow meter should be used consistently every day to measure oneself again one self to see daily differences for their asthma action plan. On a real PFT machine in a lab you will see differences as well between trials. The computer will throw out ones that are not close enough.dont knoewPositional differences result from your belly pushing up on your diaphragm inpeding the amount of air you can take in.
Are there no instructions that came with it? Because you are always supposed to take in as deep a breath as you possibly take before blowing into the device.
As to the accuracy, it is generally accurate. But accuracy is not really what you're looking for. It's a number of readings over a period of time that give you the best information. Also if a reading drops dramatically you know it's time to seek help. Make sure you keep a record of the readings so your doctor can see it.
