Thats the one, you can get it from oily fish,eggs and fortified foods like cereal, but your main source is the sun.a lot goes about dont it but vit d is good and yes it is one of the bens of being out in the sunFrozen blood samples were collected around the country. These samples were from heart attack and cancer patients. I can't remember where the studies were done -- Johns Hopkins maybe?

In 70% of the heart attack patients it was determined that they had abnormally low levels of Vitamin D in their blood.

In 65% of the cancer patients it showed a similar deficiency.

Do the math -- take the Vitamin D. Wouldn't you rather be be in the 89% group that has normal Vitamin D levels and never has cancer or heart attacks.

Based on these studies, Canada (with a failing socialist medical system) is now giving away Vitamin D tablets for free to its citizens in a bid to reduce the number of heart and cancer patients and therby reducing the costs of maintaining their near bankrupt medical system.
