When you take a brine bath, the salt minerals penetrate your skin in form of ions. This stimulation will cause natural cell growth in your living cell layers. Bio-energetic weak points will be balanced and your body's energy flow will be activated. The detoxifying effect of a brine bath can be compared to a 3-day fast. Since salt is also a disinfectant. Thank you all for such good advice.. I should have added a lil more detail about the rescue cat..?

Best answer:
So the cats arent accepting each other?

You are sure they arent just playing hard? Their wrestling matches CAN see very rough!

OK. Try with Feliway diffuser. (google). You can probably get it from your vet, or a good apothecary or a internet pet shop.
This would get them to feel more comfortable, more secure, thus - less defense aggressive.

Make each of them has own litter, food place, water place, sleeping place. So if they want, they can avoid each other.
This way, even if they dont get pals, they can at least live in the same apartment. And with time hopefully be also pals.

Neutered male and neutered female usually dont have problems with each others, gets pals withouth big trouble.
Easier than for example two females.

Good luck! You don't say how long you've had the female, but it sounds like she was probably an "ONLY" cat in her last household......and she needs time to get used to sharing......

Also, the fact that she's declawed may have something to do with her aggression toward the male. She may be trying to assert HER dominance, even though he was already the "cat in residence".

Separate them for a few days, until she gets used to hearing & smelling him in the house. Then introduce them slowly......

Hope this helps......Good luck.Have you done a proper introduction?

Introducing new cats needs to be done slowly, and over time. This means the new cat is confined to one room until comfortable. Then switch scents with new cat and old cat (by towel or blanket). Then switch rooms, so new cat is out old cat is in. Then introduction from across the room, you hold one cat, friend holds the other. Move closer together. Use lots of treats. Stop when new cat and old cat are hissing at each other. Put cats back in separate places, start again tomorrow a few paces back from where you ended. Repeat until cats are nose to nose, not hissing. Ignoring each other is fine. Let loose in room supervised. Put cats in separate room when not supervised. Once you feel comfortable about the cats chances, let loose together. Its better to go slower, rather than faster. Be sure about each step before continuing the next.

This process can take up to a month or two, if the cats are of the right personality.

Journey to the Himalayas

Visit www.aaari.info for full video. This presentation is the travelogue of a geologist visiting the Himalayan Mountains in Nepal and Tibet. Starting in Kathmandu and traveling to Beijing, at very high altitudes, between 5000 feet and 16000 feet above sea level, the author takes the audience through the picturesque physiographic provinces of the Himalayan Mountains, their rivers, rocks, small towns, and religious places. Mount Kailash (abode of Hindu God Shiva), Mansarover (the lake created by the Hindu God Brahma) and Potala palace (Buddhist Monastery in Lhasa) are the important religious places visited by the author during his journey. These places are equally important for the Hindus and Buddhist pilgrims around the world. The journey continues from Lhasa to Beijing on the world's only railroad that travels at the top of the world (at altitudes of 15000 feet plus) and constructed and opened only a few years ago.
