Thermometer suggestions for child?
Best answer:
My family all uses the temporal thermometer, but I personally am a fan of the Non-contact thermometer. Its great when kids are sleeping and you don't want to wake them when they're sick. With infants, the non-contact one is great. Both of them are fantastic, and a huge step up from the days of putting the thermometer under your tongue :) I have heard that some people don't think that the Temporal one is very accurate (but I couldn't say that for sure). I've never heard anything bad about the non contact thermometer.

Social Networking for Pre-Teens
Article by Kidz Rocket
Social networking for pre-teens is a tricky thing. Your pre-teen child believes that he or she is ready for whatever it is the world has to throw at him or her. You know better but you want to give them a little more freedom. It's a tightrope walk that almost every parent in the information age has to make. That doesn't make it any easier. Unfortunately, there are no right or wrong answers that fit every pre-teen in every situation or set of circumstances. One thing seems to be true though; social networking for teens is here to stay so parents need to find a way to manage the complications it brings into your home.
Social networking for pre-teens has almost become the language they speak. Kids send information freely, share photos, send messages, and gossip like mad. Unfortunately, this leaves very little privacy for the average pre-teen and every moment of his or her life is almost laid bare across the pages of the World Wide Web. Much of this is by the innocent and completely unthinking hands of your child. Unfortunately, it gives predators and bullies all the ammunition they need in order to visit serious harm upon your home.
It is up to you make sure that before you allow any social networking for pre-teens in your home that you create a set of ground rules that must be followed at all costs. Lay down the law and remind your children (excuse me pre-teens) that using the Internet is a privilege, not a right. It also happens to be a privilege that you can give and take at will and on a whim. Also make sure that your privacy rules are completely concrete so there is no doubt that when it comes to social networking for your pre-teen there is no such thing as privacy.
Social networking site for children, when done right, can bring great joy and countless hours of amusement to your pre-teen child. When it is done wrong can rob your home of all the joy it has. Don't let that happen to your family when a few ground rules, temper tantrums, and headaches could prevent that from ever taking place in your family. One other option is to give your pre-teens free reign in an area that is designated as a safe zone for them to socially network the way it was meant to be.
