I have really bad allergies right now... natural remedies?
Best answer:
If your allergies are from the pollen - get some local honey (it must be local) and take a tablespoon each day. It works!if i were you i would take 1 teaspoonfull of powdered vitamin C with bioflavonoids in it ie ~ Hesperidin & Rutin dissolved in a glass full of water hourly until the ghastly discomfort of your allergies subside ....... if you get loose motions from the vitamin C simply reduce your intake of it ..... it is a natural laxative as well ...... just ensure it has no added colorings or flavorings in it ....... your local health food store can help you out with a powdered variety and it has no toxic chemicals or other nasty sludge in it.
or simply eat something rich in vitamin C ie ~ fresh oranges or freshly squeezed orange juice, limes or lemons (rinse your mouth to protect your teeth from the lemon or lime juice afterwards), leafy and green vegies, strawberries, watermelon, cantalope.
Vitamin C has been shown to have effective Antihistamine properties............. it reduces inflammation, stimulates the immune system and restores the mucous lining of the gastrointestinal tract.......... and will effectively reduce fever ...... In addition, vitamin C creates an environment in the digestive tract that helps control the overgrowth of yeast, bacteria and parasites.
if you're taking lots of aspirin (or other otc meds) you're losing vitamin C........ cut right back on caffeine containing drinks such as coffee and tea and eliminate sodas and soft drinks and pop as they will all dehydrate you terribly and rob you of your precious water soluble supplies of vitamin C.
drink lots of fresh filtered water ..... at least 8 glasses daily and hydrate yourself properly.
Vitamin C deficiency can contribut to digestive problems, as well as bleeding gums, bloody noses, bloodshot eyes, increased susceptibility to infection, joint pain, unexplained bruising and lack of energy..... hmm, vitamin C the magical potion i reckon...........;0)
peace baby
♥I'm using cleaning and laundry products that are chemical free. I myself don't have allergies, but I know folks who do who are also using these products and also taking the vitamins you can buy from the same company. They are no longer taking allergy medicine year round. Instead they don't have to take it at all or maybe just a week or so in the spring time. If you would like to know more about these products or where you can buy them, send me an email. I'll be glad to help you out.Golden Seal will not work unless you have viral or bacterial infection in the throat. But if you have allergy that causes swollen throat it will not help..taking vitamin c supplement is good idea.
There is book out. I heard is pretty good. Is full of natural (home) remedies, you may want to look into those remedies.
